Lotus Cars builds world‑class, high‑performance and lightweight sports cars that are sold all around the world. To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for a Head of Sales Operations in the Group Sales Department to join us in our Global Commercial site based in Coventry.
Summary
The Sales Operations Manager will be responsible for end‑to‑end sales operations management across EU, UK and selected overseas markets, ensuring efficient order fulfilment, healthy inventory management, robust sales governance and effective business performance tracking. This role will play a key part in supporting commercial growth through sales policy development, operational optimisation and data‑driven business insights. Working cross‑functionally with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain and regional stakeholders, the successful candidate will help drive operational excellence and support the achievement of sales targets across international markets.
What you’ll do
- Conduct detailed research and analysis of automotive industry regulations, commercial policies and compliance requirements across EU, UK and overseas markets.
- Assess policy impact, identify operational risks and opportunities, and support the development and continuous improvement of sales, dealer and incentive policies.
- Manage daily sales operations activities, ensuring smooth coordination between Sales, Finance, Supply Chain and other internal stakeholders.
- Support order management and vehicle allocation processes to ensure efficient delivery performance and healthy stock levels.
- Develop and maintain sales operational KPI reporting and dashboards, providing regular business insights, performance analysis and risk identification.
- Track sales performance against annual and quarterly targets, identifying gaps and recommending corrective actions to support business delivery.
- Monitor policy implementation and dealer feedback, driving continuous improvement initiatives across sales operations processes.
- Prepare professional business presentations, reports and management updates for internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to process optimisation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and support scalable business growth.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, Marketing, International Trade or a related discipline.
- Experience within automotive sales operations or commercial operations.
- Experience working with EU and UK markets is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of sales operations, dealer management, commercial policy development and compliance requirements.
- Experience in vehicle management, order operations and sales performance analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and BI/reporting tools.
- Strong presentation and reporting skills, including preparation of professional PowerPoint materials and business reports.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively across international teams.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving capability and a proactive, results‑driven approach.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively within a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency in an additional language would be considered beneficial.
