Lotus Cars builds world-class, high-performance and lightweight sports cars that are sold all around the world. Lotus Cars Limited is the manufacturing site of Lotus in the UK. Here we produce all sportscars types such as the Emira and the Evija. To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant in the Finance Department to join us in our manufacturing plant based in Hethel.

Summary: The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for ensuring the Statutory and Management accounts are prepared and reported accurately to all stakeholders of the organisation. They are responsible for the Balance sheet control and accuracy ensuring all Finance Business units are reporting correctly and accurately inline with statutory requirements, multi standard requirements and audit requirements. They will support the Tax preparations and compliance including but not limited to RDEC, VAT. They are responsible for intercompany transactions and reconciliations. The ideal person is able to coach and support team members and financial systems whilst executing change to establish effective business processes. They will develop robust working relationships with all other members of the finance community and the wider Lotus business.

What you'll do:

  • Proactive member of the finance team, using technical expertise to support the full team in accordance with group policies and international GAAP, both internally and externally reported.
  • Provision of technical support and management of internal and external audits.
  • Execute, review any ongoing improvement of financial control framework.
  • Development, maintenance and improvement of financial systems to simplify processing and improve control.
  • Ensure Connected parties are fully reconciled on a monthly/qtrly and annual basis.
  • Documentation and maintenance of finance processes and procedures.
  • Responsible for financial aspects of SAP development and utilisation in Lotus.
  • Work closely with all members of the Finance team to collate and disseminate financial reporting supporting statutory returns.
  • Work alongside senior members of the rest of the business to improve organisation-wide processes and deliver on audits.
  • Lead the interactions with internal and external auditors.

Additional Information: This role will be working from our Hethel plant within our flexible working policy. This role is Permanent / Hybrid - minimum 3 days per week on site.
