Lotus Cars builds world-class, high-performance and lightweight sports cars that are sold all around the world. Lotus Cars Limited is the manufacturing site of Lotus in the UK. Here we produce all sportscars types such as the Emira and the Evija. To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for a Process Supporter in the Manufacturing Department to join us at our site in Norwich.
Summary: The Process Supporter plays a crucial role in ensuring daily operational stability and performance within their assigned production area. They provide direct support to a team of operators to ensure they complete their daily tasks and processes safely, accurately and on time every cycle, ensuring production is guaranteed. This role spans across a range of component manufacturing areas, including fabrication, machining, composites, welding, and assembly processes, and is focused on coaching, training, and optimising daily execution.
What You'll Do:
- Respect: Deliver effective communication within the production area on daily targets and performance, providing feedback sessions around the Process Supporter cube.
- Guarantee production capability at the start of every shift by ensuring all parts, process, and tooling is checked and present.
- Monitor process adherence and drive improvements to reduce scrap and consumable waste.
- Facilitate on-the-job training and promote cross-training to improve team versatility.
- Encourage job rotation and knowledge sharing to build team flexibility and resilience.
- One Team: Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders.
- Lead the team in the Lotus Way behaviours, continuous improvement, problem resolution and excellent working environments.
- Initiate problem-solving, escalate as needed, and record non-conformances.
- Maintain SHE and 5S standards, assist in safety audits, and lead investigations.
- Ambition: Evaluate team performance through regular reviews and appraisals.
- Conduct return-to-work interviews and manage attendance, ensuring policies and procedures are upheld.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

- Implement contingency plans during stoppages, lead SOS meetings, and oversee Shell 1 Problem Resolution.

- Coach and support team members to meet the agreed objectives.
- Communicate team objectives/KPIs and review through Cube reviews.
- Motivate and coach the team to meet operational goals.
- Set a high standard of behaviour and performance, promoting Lotus Way values.
What You'll Bring:
- Essential: National Diploma or equivalent in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Logistics or Operations.
- Proven supervisory or team leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive or aerospace.
- Strong working knowledge of lean manufacturing and basic problem-solving tools (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, A3).
- Effective communication and leadership presence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Desirable: Further vocational qualifications in leadership or operational management.

Additional Information: This role is based at Lotus Advanced Structures (LAS) in Norwich. Shift work may be required depending on operational demand.
