Join a well-established and expanding civil engineering firm delivering high-quality infrastructure, remediation, and groundworks projects across the North West. We are looking for an experienced Site Manager with a strong Site Engineering background to oversee a range of challenging and rewarding civils schemes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead site operations from start to finish, ensuring high standards, safety, and compliance
- Work with Contracts Managers and QS teams on scheduling, labour, plant and material planning
- Coordinate subcontractors and site teams, ensuring delivery to spec and drawings
- Use and understand site surveying instruments (GPS, total stations, lasers)
- Maintain accurate site records, daily diaries, and photographic documentation
- Carry out site inductions, safety briefings, and implement Construction Phase Plans
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager with setting-out / engineering experience
- Willing to carry out engineering tasks (setting out etc.) when required
- Background in public realm, groundworks, highways, remediation, and drainage projects
- Strong understanding of technical drawings, specifications, and site logistics
- Qualifications: HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- SMSTS, CSCS (preferably Black/Gold), NRSWA
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel within the North West
