Job Description:
Job Title : Residential Support Worker
Location : Bacup
Contract : Permanent, Full-Time
Hours : Approximately 168 hours per month (38.8 hours per week equivalent)
Salary : £12.50 per hour (unqualified) rising to £13.00 per hour (qualified)
Sleep-In Rate : £50 per night
Benefits : Holidays 217.50 hours per year(inclusive of bank holidays), career progression opportunities, NVQ training provided at no cost, and additional benefits.
Role Summary :
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team in Bacup. You will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day care, development, and well-being of children and young people. Key Responsibilities :
- Provide consistent and compassionate care, fostering a secure and supportive environment for young people.
- Assist with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and household duties.
- Support young people in developing social, emotional, and life skills.
- Participate in outdoor therapeutic activities aimed at promoting personal growth and healing.
- Contribute to care plans, risk assessments, and regular reviews for young people.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all individuals in the home, including administering medications and promoting good health practices.
- Maintain accurate records and reports in line with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications :
- NVQ Level 3 in Care or equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential; full training is provided at no cost to the employee.
- Previous experience in residential child care is desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Training and Development :
- Participation in NVQ training is required, with full support provided.
- Ongoing professional development training will be offered, with an expectation to dedicate some personal time to study.
