Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe, nurturing and supportive environment for young people
- Support the physical, emotional and behavioural needs of children in residential care
- Build positive relationships and encourage independence and personal development
- Follow care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures
- Maintain accurate records and complete shift handovers
- Work collaboratively with permanent staff to ensure the highest standards of care
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Previous experience working within a children's residential setting is essential
- A caring, resilient and professional approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to different homes and teams
- Enhanced DBS registered with the DBS Update Service preferred
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle preferred
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, waking nights and sleep-ins
