About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialist Dyslexia Teacher to provide targeted, evidence-based literacy intervention for a pupil requiring daily support. This role is essential in helping the pupil close the attainment gap with peers and reach literacy levels that reflect his underlying potential. Key Responsibilities: * Deliver specialist literacy teaching for no less than one hour per day, five days a week. * Design and implement structured lessons that support reading, writing, and spelling development in line with the pupil\’s specific needs. * Use evidence-based strategies and interventions within the Assess, Plan, Do, Review framework. * Work collaboratively with the pupil’s Teaching Assistant to ensure continuity of approach across the week. * Track and report on progress regularly, making adjustments to the intervention plan as necessary. * Promote a nurturing and encouraging learning environment to boost confidence and independence. Requirements: * Level 5 (or above) qualification in teaching learners with dyslexia/specific learning difficulties. * Proven experience working with pupils with literacy difficulties or dyslexia. * Ability to implement personalised, multi-sensory teaching methods. * Strong communication and teamwork skills, especially in collaborating with support staff.
