Teacher - Physics / Maths - Surbiton We are seeking an experienced Teacher to teach Physics and maths to secondary year groups with additional needs - the school offer small classroom set ups for focussed learning as well as classroom support to ensure you have the lessons to teach! You will be there to inspire and educate students in the fascinating world of physics/maths. This role involves delivering engaging lessons that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of scientific principles. Monday - Friday Full-time - 8.15am-4pm Free on site parking / local transport links CPD and Temp to perm opportunities ASAP start - Long-term role Duties * Develop and deliver physics lessons aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating real-world applications to captivate students’ interest * Mentor and support students through individualised groups * Design and implement laboratory experiments, ensuring safety protocols are followed while fostering hands-on learning experiences * Assess student progress through tests, projects, and presentations; provide constructive feedback to promote continuous improvement * Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects, integrating math, scientific research, and special education strategies into lesson plans Requirements * Proven experience teaching physics at the secondary or post-secondary level; laboratory experience is highly valued * Strong knowledge of physics concepts, scientific research methods, and related disciplines such as biochemistry and math * Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly and engagingly * QTS/QTS is ideal however, the school are open to meeting with HLTAs, cover supervisors and unqualified teachers with relevant experience Interviews / trials are taking place ASAP To be considered - Apply and get in touch to secure an interview / trial Leanne Wilson - Lotus Recruitment Benefits: * Free parking * On-site parking * Transport links
