We are seeking an experienced and highly organised School Office Manager to join a welcoming and busy school environment. This role is ideal for someone with proven experience working within a school office who can confidently manage daily operations and support senior leaders, staff, pupils and parents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the school office team, ensuring efficient day-to-day administration
  • Oversee pupil records, attendance, admissions and data management
  • Act as a key point of contact for parents, visitors and external agencies
  • Support the Headteacher and SLT with administrative, HR and compliance tasks
  • Manage school systems such as SIMS / Arbor / Bromcom (or similar)
  • Ensure safeguarding procedures and GDPR compliance are followed at all times
  • Handle finance-related tasks including orders, invoices and budget monitoring (where applicable)

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a school office environment (essential)
  • Strong knowledge of school administration processes and systems
  • Excellent organisational, communication and people-management skills
  • Confident using school MIS systems (SIMS/Arbor/Bromcom or similar)
  • Sound understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality within education
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure in a fast-paced school setting

Desirable:

  • Experience managing or supervising office staff
  • Knowledge of finance or HR processes within a school
  • Relevant administrative or leadership qualifications
