Are you an aspiring teacher or an experienced educator without QTS, looking for a long‑term role in a calm, structured and specialist education setting?
About the Setting
You will work within small, specialist school environments designed to provide safety, consistency and routine. Pupils follow individualised timetables, learn in small groups and are supported through a therapeutic, autism‑informed approach. The focus is on wellbeing first, enabling pupils to re‑engage with learning, develop independence and build confidence.
The Role
As an Unqualified Teacher, you will:
- Deliver pre‑planned lessons in line with individual education plans
- Teach small groups of pupils, not large mainstream classes
- Adapt learning to meet the needs of autistic pupils and those with additional needs
- Promote emotional regulation and positive behaviour using trauma‑informed strategies
- Work closely with qualified teachers, therapists and pastoral staff
- Monitor progress and contribute to academic and pastoral planning
- Build consistent, trusting relationships and act as a positive role model
