Peter’s Yard is a growing sourdough bakery business that combines Swedish tradition with British craft and natural, quality ingredients to create its hand-baked sourdough products. The company was founded in 2008, acquired in 2022 by Lotus Bakeries and is now listed in Tesco, Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Ocado, Booths, Wholefoods and 3,000 independent farm shops and delis. The company has ambitious growth plans to expand the business and build the brand in the UK across Grocery outlets, food service and speciality stores.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will execute brand strategies that significantly grow household penetration and help Peter’s Yard become the UK’s favourite Sourdough Bakery Brand. You will be the face of the brand, managing our communication, our online community and helping us build a brand that people love. This includes delivering engaging content, PR, advertising and community activity to help us reach new consumers.

  • Consumer Activation: Lead and implement best in class consumer activation plans with evaluation ensuring all activities link back to our strategies to deliver the plan.
  • Owned Media, Influencers, Brand Partnerships & Community: Own all content development and community management.
  • Product Management: Continually analyse portfolio performance and keep the brand proposition ahead of the competition, identifying opportunities for growth and improvements.
  • New product launches: Deliver yearly NPD launches with detailed go to market plans including sell ins, packaging design and comms launch plans – working alongside product development, sales and category from concept through to launch and evaluation.

We are seeking an energetic and experienced Brand Manager, who wants to join our fast-paced team and make a real difference. As Brand Manager you will be a key member of our team driving brand awareness & penetration, building strong relationships with our consumers and ensuring that our products reach as many people as possible.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Right-To-Work within the UK (without sponsorship).
  • Minimum Education to Bachelors Degree level.
  • Min 2-3 years relevant Marketing experience in an FMCG business.
  • Experience working in a brand team, where you have managed through the line campaigns.
  • Experience with social media scheduling and analytics tools.
  • Experience of Owned Media Content development and working with influencers.
  • Experience managing websites, ideally with WordPress, and using Google Analytics.
  • Nice to have: proficient in Adobe Creative suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Lightroom, Photoshop).
  • Ability to project manage well, including project coordination internally, track and report progress and deliver on time and within budget.
  • A good understanding of advertising agencies and the ability to plan, measure and execute marketing campaigns and strategies.
  • Drawing out insights from data.
  • Good understanding of speciality food brands.
