Join Lottoland as an Assistant Financial Accountant (4âmonth temp). We're hiring 2 Assistant Financial Accountants to support monthâend and yearâend close during paternity cover. Start ASAP. Positions available in the UK (remote) or Gibraltar (hybrid).
What you will do:
- Own monthâend preparation: journals, accruals/prepayments, reconciliations, and schedules to close on time.
- Review and analyse balance sheet and P&L; investigate and explain variances.
- Prepare/review balance sheet accounts for yearâend and support external audit queries.
- Deliver basic tax and compliance tasks; keep controls and documentation tidy.
- Partner with Financial Accountants and stakeholders on adâhoc requests and data pulls.
- Work efficiently in ERP (Oracle is a plus) and Excel/SmartView across multiâentity data.
Who you are:
- 5+ years' industry experience in financial/assistant accounting (not a first move from practice).
- Proven monthâend ownership and strong reconciliations.
- Yearâend and audit support experience; confident handling auditor requests.
- Contractor mindset: able to hit the ground running with minimal handover.
- Right to work in the UK or Gibraltar; available for a 4âmonth contract starting ASAP.
- Basic tax and compliance exposure.
