Assistant Financial Accountant (4-months temp)

Join Lottoland as an Assistant Financial Accountant (4‑month temp).

We’re hiring 2 Assistant Financial Accountants to support month‑end and year‑end close during paternity cover. Start ASAP. Positions available in the UK (remote) or Gibraltar (hybrid).

What you will do

• Own month‑end preparation: journals, accruals/prepayments, reconciliations, and schedules to close on time.
• Review and analyse balance sheet and P&L; investigate and explain variances.
• Prepare/review balance sheet accounts for year‑end and support external audit queries.
• Deliver basic tax and compliance tasks; keep controls and documentation tidy.
• Partner with Financial Accountants and stakeholders on ad‑hoc requests and data pulls.
• Work efficiently in ERP (Oracle is a plus) and Excel/SmartView across multi‑entity data.

Who you are

• 5+ years’ industry experience in financial/assistant accounting (not a first move from practice).
• Proven month‑end ownership and strong reconciliations.
• Year‑end and audit support experience; confident handling auditor requests.
• Contractor mindset: able to hit the ground running with minimal handover.
• Right to work in the UK or Gibraltar; available for a 4‑month contract starting ASAP.
• Basic tax and compliance exposure.
