Lothian Valuation Joint Board is an independent public authority that was established by The Valuation Joint Boards (Scotland) Order 1995. We provide a professional valuation and electoral registration service for East Lothian, the City of Edinburgh, Midlothian and West Lothian Councils in respect of compilation and maintenance of the Valuation Roll, Valuation (Council Tax) List and Registers of Electors.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking to recruit an ICT Network Services Technician to support the ICT Network Services Manager and team colleagues in ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and development of the organisation’s Information and Communications Technology (ICT) infrastructure. This role provides multi-level technical support, daily system administration, and first-line helpdesk services for hardware, software, and in-house applications. The Technician supports the evaluation and deployment of new technologies and assists in the rollout of newly developed systems. The role involves identifying and delivering training needs within the organisation. Additionally, the role includes the creation, design, and ongoing maintenance of the organisation’s website and intranet, ensuring effective digital communication and information delivery across the network.

The successful candidate will be educated to HNC level in a relevant discipline and have practical experience in supporting hardware, software, and basic networking within a Windows environment. A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, web authoring tools, along with familiarity with SFTP and internet protocols are desirable.
