The Role

The Change Manager is responsible for developing and embedding a comprehensive change management framework and culture across the organisation to ensure that business, operational, regulatory and strategic change is delivered effectively, consistently and with appropriate governance. Collaboration with programme office function is a critical aspect of development, delivery and ongoing management and maintenance of the framework and culture.

The role will develop and maintain change management methodologies, project governance standards, and reporting capabilities to provide clear visibility of all change activity across the business. Working closely with senior leadership team, project sponsors, departments, suppliers and third-party providers, the Change Manager will help ensure that change initiatives are prioritised, managed and implemented in a controlled manner that supports our business plan, regulatory compliance and improved member outcomes.

The Change Manager will also lead key projects and drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and promoting best practice in project and change management across the organisation.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Develop, promote, manage and continuously improve the organisation's change management framework, methodologies, standards and governance processes.
  • Establish a consistent approach to project delivery, change control, risk management and benefit realisation.
  • In partnership with programme office, develop and implement formal change and reporting processes, ensuring best practice is adopted as appropriate, providing accurate and timely routine and ad hoc updates to the Senior Leadership Team and other governance forums as required.
  • Act as Project Manager for key strategic and operational initiatives, leading multidisciplinary project or change teams to deliver agreed outcomes.
  • Track project progress, risks, issues, dependencies and benefits, ensuring timely escalation where required.
  • Manage all phases of the project lifecycle, including business case development, requirements gathering, analysis, planning, governance, implementation, testing, training, transition and post-implementation review.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with senior leaders, project sponsors, teams and external partners.
  • Develop stakeholder engagement and communication plans to support project success and organisational readiness.
  • Facilitate workshops, steering groups and project meetings, ensuring stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the change lifecycle.
  • Work collaboratively with external suppliers and service providers involved in change initiatives
  • Identify, assess and manage project and change-related risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Responsible for ensuring projects operate within established governance frameworks

What experience are we looking for?

The following requirements are essential for this role:

  • Extensive proven change management experience as a change or project manager in a financial services environment, ideally in a pensions or investments firm.
  • Proven experience implementing change management methodology and processes
  • Ability to effectively lead meetings and manage and collaborate with key stakeholders
  • Change management or project management qualification is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to build, maintain, and strengthen internal relationships
  • Clean basic vetting checks.
