Pay Rate
Rate of pay: £14.81 per hour.
Hours & Schedule
On average 10 hours per week with opportunities for flexible additional hours. Typical shifts may be 11:30 am – 6 pm or 2 – 10 pm on college days, lasting 6.5‑7 hours. Working will follow a rolling pattern of one shift week one / two shifts week two, with discussion of preferred days at interview.
Opportunities to support on holidays are available.

Job Overview
Autistic young non‑binary adult seeking a Personal Assistant to help with daily challenges due to current health conditions and disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care, medication management, and getting around (including use of wheelchair).
- Provide support with light domestic tasks and maintain a clean, safe home environment.
- Encourage and facilitate engagement in activities at home and in the community, including attending college one day a week.
- Maintain calm, patient, reliable presence, building a trusting relationship while respecting boundaries, communication preferences, and sensory needs.
- Operate during the period between existing morning and nighttime carer visits.
Qualifications & Essential Qualities
- Must be a driver holding a valid, clean driving licence.
- Comfortable around pets/animals.
- Hoist training, medication training, and moving & handling training preferred but can be provided.
- Member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme or willing to join.
- Proficiency in English / communication skills required.
- Autism awareness, seizure training, catheter care, and disability understanding desirable.
- Lived experience of neurodivergence or experience collaborating with neurodivergent families preferred.
