We are looking for someone who can visit Friday and Sunday afternoons, for up to a maximum of 10 hours per week, to assist our young daughter who attends Beatlie school.
Responsibilities
- Engage with the daughter and develop a trusting relationship
- Assist with showering and medicine provision
- Take the daughter for walks
- Organise her supplies
- Support with gastrostomy feeding
- General assistance with some household work
- Use the ceiling hoist in her room and the mobile hoist to move her in and out of her wheelchair (preferred experience)
Qualifications
- Experience in care work
- Experience supporting disabled children (advantageous)
- Experience using a hoist is preferred
- Member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme, or willing to join (employer covers cost)
Compensation and Hours
- Hours: up to 10 hours per week (discussed at interview).
- Pay: £14.81 per hour.
