Overview
I am looking for a reliable and caring individual to assist with my 15 year old son. He has Down\'s Syndrome; he is very friendly and responsive to the right person. The post is on alternate Saturdays, based in Uphall. The role is four hours on alternate Saturdays, with activities including taking my son to his sports club, going to the park to play football and basketball, ten-pin bowling, and trips to the cinema.
Responsibilities
- Take and accompany my son to his activities and outings on Saturdays (sports club, park visits, football/basketball, bowling, cinema).
- Supervise and provide a supportive, safe environment during outings.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Ideal: experience of working with a young person with a learning disability.
- PVG scheme membership or willingness to join the scheme.
- References will be required.
- Driving ability and willingness to use own vehicle during work would be useful.
