I am seeking a reliable and positive individual to offer companionship and support to my daughter. She is non‑verbal, has epilepsy and uses a wheelchair. She is a calm, happy, and content person who enjoys simple, relaxing activities.
Proposed Shift: Saturday or Sunday – 6 hours
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide companionship at home while she watches TV and her favourite videos
- Accompany her to local cafés for coffee and cake
- Support her on short walks when the weather is nice
- Encourage light physical activities (guidance will be provided)
- Suggest enjoyable activities and be proactive in planning her day
- Engage with her in a patient, supportive, and understanding manner
Our family is happy to drive both of you to places for outings if needed. No personal care is required.
About You
- You are patient, reliable, and enjoy offering meaningful companionship
- You understand or are comfortable learning non‑verbal communication
- You are warm, positive, and able to take initiative when planning activities
- You can support someone who uses a wheelchair and may experience occasional seizures. You will receive clear, easy‑to‑follow guidance from the family about how to respond calmly and safely during a seizure.
