Join our team of Coach drivers, helping to deliver a first-class experience for our passengers. We’re currently looking for new Trainee Coach drivers to join us based at our garage in Dunbar. As a Trainee Coach Driver, you’ll receive all the necessary training, which is fully funded by Lothian, letting you drive your career to the next level.
This role gives you an opportunity to travel throughout the UK undertaking touring programmes, private hires and day tours. Our Coach drivers are excellent ambassadors in our business who deliver high levels of customer service through their enthusiasm and positivity.
Here’s what you can expect as a Trainee Coach Driver:
- Paid training whilst you work (pay rate of £12.60p/h).
- An hourly rate of £13.03 after training (with enhanced hourly weekend working rates).
- Full uniform provided.
- Continual training and development will be given to drive forward your career with additional opportunities for progression including the provision of annual CPC training.
- Free travel across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas on all of our buses and Edinburgh Trams.
- Automatic enrolment into a free HSF Health Plan, helping you with a wide range of healthcare costs including optical and dental costs as well as physiotherapy, podiatry and many more health expenses. This is fully funded by Lothian.
In return our trainee bus and coach drivers’ will need to:
- Hold a full UK driving licence, which you’ve held for more than one year and no more than 6 penalty points.
- Be flexible to work a wide range of shift patterns including weekends and Bank Holidays.
