We are seeking a Recruitment Administrator to join our team on a full-time basis (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday). In this role, you will be responsible for managing the administration of both driver and non-driver vacancies, supporting the full 360 end-to-end recruitment process. As Edinburgh’s principal transport provider, Lothian has delivered a first-class public transport service to the city for over a century. In recent years, we have expanded our operations to provide the same high-quality services across Midlothian, East Lothian, and West Lothian.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring timely and professional communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Screen and shortlist CVs, providing regular updates and feedback to candidates at each stage.
- Support the organisation and delivery of assessment centres and conduct interviews with prospective trainee driver candidates.
- Ensure all recruitment compliance requirements are completed, including PCV, DVLA, CPC checks, and Right to Work verification.
- Assist with the full onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth and efficient start at Lothian.
- Maintain accurate data entry and administration, ensuring compliance with audit and regulatory standards.
- Support recruitment events such as job fairs and open days to attract and engage new candidates.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with candidates and colleagues.
- Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Highly proficient in administrative tasks with strong data management capabilities.
- Experience in conducting interviews is desirable.
- A collaborative team player with a proactive and supportive approach.
- Good understanding and working knowledge of GDPR and data protection principles.
- Driving Licence is desirable as you will be required to travel between Lothian sites.
