Responsibilities of the role
Reporting to our Insurance Manager, the Insurance Officer’s main tasks will include:
- Proactive handling of Third Party Damage & Injury claims for the Company, within the terms of our insurance arrangements & departmental financial limits.
- Dealing with all aspects of claims from intimation to conclusion.
- Maintaining a caseload of higher value recovery cases, while providing support for the own damage recovery process & administrative assistance as required.
- Assisting with Operational Risk projects, preparing statistical reports & analysis & assisting other Departments with liability or incident related queries.
- Deputising for the Insurance Manager, as required.
Requirements for the role
- Experience of working in an insurance, legal or broker environment is essential, with claims handling knowledge or experience advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written, as well as strong organisational skills, attention to detail & a high level of accuracy.
- ACII qualification (or legal equivalent), or progression towards same, would be advantageous.
