Los Mochis City is looking for a passionate Pastry Commis Chef to join our award-winning kitchen team at our flagship rooftop restaurant at 100 Liverpool Street, offering breathtaking views of the City skyline. The Role
As Pastry Commis Chef, you will work closely with the Head Pastry Chef, Pastry Chef de Partie, and Demi Chef de Partie to assist in the preparation and service of desserts. This role is perfect for a motivated pastry professional eager to grow their skills in a fast-paced, high-quality kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and plating of pastry and dessert dishes to the highest standards
- Support the pastry team with daily mise en place and kitchen organisation
- Follow recipes and instructions from senior chefs accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the pastry section
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, food hygiene, and health & safety standards
- Support the team during busy service periods while maintaining consistency and quality
- Assist with basic stock rotation and minimise food waste
Requirements & Skills
- Previous experience as a Pastry Commis Chef or Commis Chef in a professional kitchen is preferred
- Passion for pastry, desserts, and learning modern techniques
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Team player with a positive and professional attitude
- Basic understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety
