My client, a top global company, is currently looking to recruit a Workday Functional Payroll Analyst to join their team on a contract basis. Please note if successful you will need to set up via an Umbrella Company/PAYE.

The Workday Functional Payroll Analyst is required to drive and manage efficiency and accuracy of the Workday Payroll Module for the UK. As a member of the Tech Payroll team, the Workday Functional Payroll Analyst will be responsible for the analysis, configuration, and maintenance according to our client policies and Workday procedures.

Key responsibilities for the Workday Functional Payroll Analyst:

  • Keep maintenance of already customized and configured the Payroll Module to meet the organization's specific payroll requirements, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.
  • Analyze payroll related system configuration based on payroll team queries, identify discrepancies, and work on resolving issues in cooperation with other Workday product owners.
  • Introduce system changes including Workday releases by testing and validating new payroll features.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Workday Payroll Module related problems, working closely with the UK payroll team and cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of payroll module configurations for future reference.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, enhancements, and automation within the payroll module to streamline operations.

Key experience and knowledge required for the Workday Functional Payroll Analyst:

  • Proven experience in payroll administration and configuration of payroll modules within HRIS systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Experience with Workday Payroll Module is preferred.
  • Knowledge of UK payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in Workday Payroll Module maintenance.
  • Experience working in a SOC environment.
  • Maintain a high level of integrity while balancing multiple priorities and responsibilities.
  • Focused on solution thinking and agile in learning new systems and processes that span software and hardware.
  • Motivated and interested in learning new technologies.
  • The ability to clearly write technical documentation as necessitated by regulatory agencies on internal company policy.
