Platinum Group is a specialist technology consultancy delivering cybersecurity and identity-focused solutions to enterprise clients. We work closely with organisations across Financial Services and other regulated industries to design, implement and optimise secure security programmes.
As we continue to grow our Cyber Security Practice, we are looking for a driven Account Manager to support new business acquisition and the expansion of existing client relationships.
The Role
This is a commercially focused role with a strong emphasis on new business generation. You will be responsible for building pipeline, breaking new enterprise logos (particularly within Financial Services), and supporting the end-to-end services sales cycle. You will work closely with senior sales leaders, technical specialists and delivery teams to convert qualified opportunities into long-term client partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and generate new enterprise opportunities, with a focus on Financial Services.
- Deliver a consistent cadence of qualified client meetings (target circa 8 per week).
- Break new logos through outbound prospecting, networking and relationship development.
- Support the full services sales cycle from lead qualification through to deal progression and close.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including CISOs, CIOs, CTOs and Procurement teams.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline reporting and forecasting.
- Collaborate with technical and delivery teams to align client needs with Platinum Group’s cybersecurity services.
- Represent Platinum Group professionally at client meetings and industry events.
- Support post-sale client governance processes, including service review meetings and project oversight discussions.
- Work with delivery and technical teams to ensure services are delivered in line with agreed scope, outcomes and client expectations.
- Identify opportunities for service improvement, innovation, and additional value creation within existing accounts.
- Capture actions, risks, and commercial opportunities arising from governance meetings and ensure follow-through.
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in business development, sales development or account management within technology, cybersecurity or professional services.
- Track record of consistently achieving meeting generation or pipeline targets.
- Experience breaking new enterprise logos through outbound activity.
- Confidence engaging senior stakeholders.
- Strong commercial awareness and communication skills.
- Experience using CRM systems and prospecting tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Exposure to cybersecurity solutions (IAM/PAM experience advantageous).
- Experience within Financial Services is beneficial but not essential.
