Job Title: Warehouse Operator (Smelting/Shift)
Location: Brimsdown
Contract type: 12 months
Salary: 21.55 per hour
About the role
Our client, a well-established specialist in precious metals and advanced materials, is looking for a Production Operator to join its manufacturing team. You'll help produce Platinum group metal (PGM) alloys, processing ingots into finished components for further processing or sale to customers.
Key responsibilities
- Working safely and reporting any incidents promptly
- Following operating procedures and recording process information accurately
- Setting up and operating machinery to agreed standards
- Using measuring equipment (including micrometers and tensile testing machines) and SPC charts to monitor product quality
- Preparing quality samples and inspection documentation
- Inspecting and packaging materials
About you
- A willingness to follow safe systems of work
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures accurately
- Good communication skills and a team-player attitude
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, good manual dexterity and basic Word/Excel skills are desirable
Good to know
- Factory-based role, with manual handling of items up to 20kg at times
- Uniform and PPE required at all times
- A restricted metals policy applies (limits on metal items such as jewellery, wallets and phones), and employees are searched when leaving the site
