One of Lorien's leading Public Sector Clients is looking for a highly experienced Programme Test Manager to join the team.
Assignment Description
This hands-on Programme Test Manager role will provide the testing knowledge, expertise, and capability to quality assure the products being developed against the product requirements/other test basis.
Responsibilities
- Engage with stakeholders (including 3rd parties) to understand the systems under test, architecture, associated interfaces, business processes, and requirements.
- Refine the Programme Test Strategy and ways of working.
- Understand testing dependencies and feed into the prioritisation of components being delivered by the teams in order to produce test schedules aligned to wider service delivery plan.
- Produce appropriate level of Test Plans (strategies) aligned to programme test strategy.
- Define testing resource requirements and manage the testing resources assigned to the service test team.
- Be responsible for ensuring that all appropriate testing types are executed as defined within the Test Plan, and that tests are evidenced accordingly and traceable to requirements/other test basis.
- Define Test Environment Requirements highlighting dependencies.
- Actively monitor testing schedules against delivery plan, producing progress reports, RAG status, interim quality assessment, and highlighting risks, and issues and recommending mitigation steps.
- Produce Test Completion Reports highlighting residual risks and recommended mitigation.
- Participate in implementation readiness activities.
- Strive for continuous improvement; input to test improvements roadmap.
- Be an active participant in the Testing Practice and Testing forums.
Essential skill set
- 3+ years’ experience as a Test Manager working in complex digital programmes and agile development environment.
- Experience of the full project life-cycle.
- Thorough knowledge of testing types, testing processes, procedures and associated governance.
- Experience in a wide variety of testing techniques and tools.
- Strong experience in test planning, risk management, and test team management.
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills and a proven ability to collaborate with all stakeholders.
