We're recruiting on behalf of a well‑established gambling and gaming organisation seeking a Technical Data Consultant to support a focused discovery and documentation engagement. This is a hands‑on contract for someone who enjoys stepping into complex, legacy‑leaning data environments and making them understandable, supportable, and less reliant on individual knowledge.
The role involves:
- Investigating and reverse‑engineering live data platforms with limited documentation
- Building a clear picture of the current‑state data architecture and data flows
- Reviewing and documenting business‑critical SQL and transformation logic
- Producing practical operational documentation and runbooks
- Working closely with long‑tenured engineers to capture knowledge and reduce key‑person risk
