Lorien is currently recruiting for a Technical 2D Illustrator to join on a 3 month initial contract, inside IR35. This job is for a mid-weight 2D Illustrator to create high-quality 2D and 3D illustrations that communicate with the client's engineering excellence across global marketing materials.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Produce high-quality illustrations for various marketing materials, adhering to the client's brand guidelines and visual style.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to ensure seamless execution and efficient project completion.
  • Manage project timelines and resources efficiently, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.

The skills required in order to be successful in the position:

  • Illustration: High proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and advanced vector graphic techniques. Expertise in technical and conceptual illustration, focusing on high-quality 2D and 3D output. Ability to create illustrations to a very high technical standard, accurately capturing the look and feel of the product whilst adhering to brand standards.
  • Compositing: Excellent knowledge of integrating 3D assets from tools like Maya, and other 3D packages, into 2D illustrations.
  • Animation: Understanding of keyframe animation principles for 2D assets. Experience in creating dynamic illustrations that may require animation for marketing campaigns.
  • Software Proficiency: Expertise in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop. Understanding of Maya, or similar CAD package, preferably Siemens NX. Strong knowledge of digital workflows, asset management, and print processes.
