Systems Lead - RF Data Link
Location: Bristol or Stevenage
Type: Contract, 12 months (extension possible)
Rate: £85 per hour (umbrella)
Clearance: Must be able to achieve SC
About the role
Lead the development and delivery of an RF data link within a weapons system programme, providing technical leadership to a small team of engineers on complex, cutting-edge projects.
Responsibilities
Requirements definition and management
Technical leadership of junior engineers
Managing suppliers and customer stakeholders
Leading design reviews and supporting validation
Managing project deliverables and technical risks
About you
Able to achieve SC clearance
Understanding of RF communication principles
Formal systems engineering knowledge
Experience leading a small engineering team
Strong communication skills
Defence or aerospace background ideal, other industries considered
Working pattern: 4-5 days on site, with some UK and potential European travel.
