Job Description IT Software Asset Manager
Location: Stevenage Rate: Β£65 per hour (Umbrella) Contract: 12 Months Working Pattern: Hybrid, 2 days a week onsite in Stevenage
A leading organisation operating within a highly secure and technology-driven environment is seeking an experienced IT Software Asset Manager to join its Digital Excellence function.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of software licensing compliance and optimisation across a large and complex enterprise estate, ensuring effective governance, cost control, and licence management processes are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end software licence compliance across the IT estate.
- Administer and optimise the SNOW Software Asset Management platform.
- Conduct regular software licence audits and compliance reviews.
- Analyse software deployments against entitlements and identify compliance risks.
- Drive licence optimisation initiatives to improve utilisation and reduce costs.
- Maintain proof of licence and software entitlement records.
- Provide guidance to stakeholders on software licensing, procurement, and asset management best practice.
- Produce reporting on software installations, usage, licensing position, and compliance status.
- Support software lifecycle management activities and continuous process improvements.
- Maintain relevant documentation, procedures, and governance controls.
Essential Experience
- Strong Software Asset Management (SAM) experience.
- Hands-on expertise with SNOW Software Asset Management.
- Knowledge of software licensing models, compliance, and audit processes.
- Experience managing licence entitlement and deployment reconciliation.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience working within complex enterprise environments.
