As part of continued growth, they are seeking a Tax Compliance & Reporting Assistant Manager to join their finance team.
The Role
As the Tax Compliance & Reporting Assistant Manager, you will support the delivery of tax compliance and reporting across multiple jurisdictions, working as part of a high-performing tax team. You will gain exposure to a wide range of tax matters while collaborating closely with finance, actuarial, and external advisors to ensure the business meets its obligations accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of UK corporate tax returns and tax computations
- Assist with international tax compliance, liaising with external advisors where required
- Contribute to quarterly and annual tax reporting, including IFRS or UK GAAP provisions
- Assist with tax accounting, including deferred tax calculations and disclosures
- Work with internal teams to gather financial and operational data for tax purposes
- Support interactions with external auditors, HMRC, and advisors
- Assist with transfer pricing documentation and related requirements
- Contribute to maintaining tax risk controls and compliance processes
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency
- Support senior team members on ad hoc tax projects and initiatives
Requirements
- ACA, ACCA, or CTA part-qualified or newly qualified (or equivalent)
- Experience in corporate tax compliance and reporting, either in practice or industry
- Exposure to financial services or a large multinational environment is beneficial
- Good understanding of UK tax principles and reporting requirements
- Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
Desirable
- Experience or exposure to the insurance sector
- Familiarity with IFRS or UK GAAP tax reporting
- Exposure to international tax matters
- Experience working with large datasets or improving processes
