Location: London (hybrid)

Contract: 6 months Inside IR35

This role will be supporting a Retail client on a major Warehouse Management System (WMS) transformation programme, implementing Blue Yonder across their supply chain landscape. Having completed Discovery/Design, the programme is now moving into delivery phase, and they are looking for a Senior Project Manager to step in and bring strong leadership, planning, and governance across a complex, multi-party environment. You’ll operate at the heart of the programme, working across technology, business, and the System Integrator (Blue Yonder) to drive delivery outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on leadership across technical and business teams, ensuring alignment and accountability
  • Act as the primary point of coordination across: Blue Yonder (SI), Engineering teams, Solution Architects, Business SMEs and Analysts
  • Drive governance and reporting uplift, including: Weekly status reporting, Steering Committee preparation and delivery, RAID management (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies)
  • Manage vendor performance, ensuring deliverables are clearly defined, tracked, and aligned to commercial agreements
  • Oversee delivery against financial and milestone targets, particularly within a T&M model
  • Proactively identify and manage risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges
  • Provide a “safe pair of hands” to senior stakeholders, bringing structure, clarity, and control

Requirements:

  • Proven experience leading complex, enterprise-scale technology programmes or projects
  • Strong experience managing System Integrators / third-party vendors, including holding delivery to account
  • Ability to operate across technical and business domains, working closely with engineering, architecture, and functional teams
  • Demonstrable experience building and managing integrated delivery plans in hybrid (waterfall + agile) environments
  • Strong governance, risk, and financial management capability
  • Track record of bringing structure, control, and clarity into complex delivery environments
  • Confident stakeholder engagement at all levels, including Steering Committee / senior leadership

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with supply chain, logistics, or WMS implementations
  • Exposure to Blue Yonder (JDA) or similar platforms
  • Background in retail or large-scale transformation programmes
