We’re hiring a Senior Data Insights Analyst to join a growing Data & Analytics function supporting underwriting and portfolio teams within a leading insurance environment. This is a highly visible, business-facing role where you’ll partner directly with underwriting, actuarial and portfolio stakeholders to deliver impactful insights and drive data-led decision making.
The Role
- Deliver high-quality analytics, MI and reporting solutions to support underwriting strategy
- Act as a key analytics partner to underwriting and portfolio teams
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable business insight
- Build and enhance Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions
- Perform deep-dive analysis to identify trends, risks and opportunities
- Drive improvements in data quality, processes and insight capability
- Promote a data-driven culture across the business
- Explore new tools, AI capabilities and data sources
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in a data/insights role within insurance
- Good understanding of underwriting or broking processes
- Advanced Excel + strong Power BI capability
- Solid experience with SQL
- Proven ability to engage stakeholders and influence decisions
- Strong communication skills – able to explain data to non-technical audiences
- Experience delivering MI, dashboards and analytical insight
Nice to Have
- Experience with Delegated Authority / Bordereaux data
- Exposure to Python, R or advanced analytics
- Experience with Power Platform tools
