Join the Data Trust & Integrity (DTI) team, part of the Group Data Office, where you’ll play a central role in defining how data is governed, trusted, and adopted across a complex, fast-moving environment.
The Opportunity
This is not a “write the policy and walk away” role. You’ll own the full lifecycle—from requirements gathering and design through to implementation, adoption, and continuous improvement—working across a high-volume, high-complexity data landscape. You’ll bring together technology, architecture, control functions, and business teams, ensuring governance is not just compliant, but practical, scalable, and valuable.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design, build, and own data governance policies, frameworks, principles, and adoption playbooks
- Drive business adoption and monitor effectiveness through KPIs and metrics
- Use and evolve AI tools to accelerate policy and framework design
- Collaborate across teams to shape priorities, define roadmaps, and secure buy-in
- Champion data culture, education, and awareness across the organisation
- Deliver training and ongoing support to embed governance into BAU
- Stay ahead of industry trends and best practice in data governance
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience designing and implementing Data Governance & Data Quality frameworks
- Strong track record of driving adoption in complex, matrix environments
- Confidence working across IT, business units, operations, and control functions
- Deep understanding of:
- Data Quality & Governance principles
- Data Privacy, Classification & Retention
- User Access Models
- Master & Reference Data Management
- Experience defining and tracking data KPIs and measurable improvements
- A user-first mindset—you care about usability, adoption, and real-world impact
- Enthusiasm for leveraging AI tools to modernise governance
Why This Role?
- High impact: Shape governance across a large, complex data estate
- End-to-end ownership: Strategy → build → adoption → optimisation
- Modern tooling: AI-enabled approaches and agile delivery (Jira-based)
- Collaborative culture: Iterative, fast-paced, and business-focused
- Real influence: Drive data culture and trust across the organisation
If you’re someone who can bridge the gap between governance design and real-world adoption, and you want to build frameworks that actually stick—this is your role.
