Service Transition Manager

Location: Central Manchester (Hybrid – 2 days on-site)
Salary: Up to £65,000 + Bonus

The Opportunity:

You\’ll be the key link between product teams and service operations, ensuring new services are introduced smoothly and managed effectively from cradle to grave. Responsibilities:

  • Own the service transition process, ensuring services move into live operation seamlessly.
  • Collaborate with product owners to align service delivery with product strategy.
  • Drive performance, security, and availability standards across multiple services.
  • Define and track KPIs and OKRs to measure service value, cost of ownership, and customer experience.
  • Manage third-party supplier performance and ensure compliance with SLAs.
  • Champion continuous improvement and serviceability across the organisation.
  • Requirements:

  • Strong background in service management or service transition within a tech-driven or product-led environment.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL frameworks and service lifecycle management.
  • Confident stakeholder manager – able to influence and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
  • ITIL Foundation or Practitioner certification; Agile experience is a bonus.
