Join a company that has been around since the 1930's and is on the cusp of technological rebirth and gain in-demand expertise in high-performance, real-time system design.
THE ROLE: Working closely with the Tech Lead and an established cross-functional team, you will be helping the company realise their modernisation plans and overcome unique challenges around real-time data processing, high throughput, low-latency systems that need to scale dramatically to handle traffic surges. You will get to work on a major greenfield project to build a new subscription engine which is due to kick off later this year, and likely to run for at least 12 months.
CULTURE: Following the change of company ownership and appointment of a new CTO early last year, the company has instilled a culture where there is really good communication between management and staff (flat management structure), strong trust ethos, and lots of opportunity to set direction and to step up.
ON OFFER:
- 25 days annual leave + Bank holidays
- 10% bonus
REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of standard CI/CD practices
- Solid understanding of HTTP and RESTful services
- Experience with Ruby - although the company is moving away from Ruby into a pure Microsoft stack and no new development will be done in Ruby, some legacy systems still need to be maintained until they are decommissioned; and will be needed to interpret and break them down.
