Senior Process Optimisation Specialist to join a high-profile Operations Excellence team within a leading London Market insurer.

This role sits within the

Process Optimisation function , supporting strategic transformation initiatives across the UK, MENA and broader international operations.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future operating model of the organisation, driving optimisation, transformation and business change initiatives across the insurance value chain.

This is far more than a traditional process improvement role. You will operate at the intersection of strategy, transformation, operational excellence, technology and leadership , acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and helping define the future direction of the optimisation capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead complex process optimisation and transformation initiatives across London Market insurance operations.
  • Drive standardisation, simplification and operational excellence across multiple business functions and lines of business.
  • Analyse and redesign end-to-end processes across the insurance value chain.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to develop future-state operating models and transformation roadmaps.
  • Influence and challenge existing ways of working to deliver meaningful business improvements.
  • Support strategic programmes spanning underwriting, exposure management, actuarial, finance and operational functions.
  • Act as a mentor and coach to process optimisation specialists and analysts.
  • Contribute to the development of optimisation methodologies and best practices.
  • Explore how AI and emerging technologies can enhance process discovery, analysis and operational effectiveness.
  • Help shape the organisation's long-term transformation and operational excellence strategy.

Experience Required

  • Strong London Market insurance experience.
  • Deep understanding of general insurance operations and the end-to-end insurance lifecycle.
  • Expertise in process optimisation, business process redesign and operational excellence.
  • Experience leading transformation and change initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of underwriting operations and insurance operating models.
  • Demonstrable experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Strong facilitation, communication and change management skills.
  • Insurance Knowledge Required
