Job Description

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Information Governance Specialist to work for a large public sector organisation in Edinburgh or Glasgow. You will provide specialist advice in the provision of Data Protection knowledge and expertise, by providing expert practitioner support to the H&SC Domain in the development and delivery of national and innovate technological solutions across the Scottish Health and Social Care Sector.

Essential skills:

  • Extensive experience in working in the field of Information Governance and Data Protection legislation
  • Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team technology team
  • Considerable experience in the drafting and conducting data protection impact assessments.
  • Expertise in accessing, analysing and presenting a wide range of complex information to a range of audiences
  • Extensive knowledge of information governance and data protection, including legislative issues.
  • Understanding of legislative compliance for public sector organisations regarding data protection legislation.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory environment regarding NHS Scotland.
  • Proven expertise in the practical implementation of data protection legislation.
