Overview
We're supporting a leading utilities organisation in the search for an Interim Head of Enterprise Technical Services to provide critical leadership during a period of transition. This is a senior, Director-level role with end-to-end accountability for enterprise IT and OT services that underpin essential infrastructure. You'll play a key role in ensuring operational stability, resilience, and service continuity across a complex technology estate.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on leadership assignment, not an advisory role. You will step in to lead from the front, taking ownership of live services and acting as the senior decision-maker during major incidents.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day operation and resilience of enterprise technology services, including:
- Cloud platforms
- Infrastructure & datacentres
- Networks & connectivity
- End User Services
- IT / OT integration
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Proven experience operating at Director or Head-of level in enterprise environments
- Strong background in IT operations, infrastructure, and cloud services
- Experience in regulated, safety-critical, or high-availability environments (e.g. utilities, energy, telco)
- Track record of leading large-scale technical teams and senior leaders
- Experience owning major incidents and high-risk operational decisions
- Strong supplier and service management experience (multi-vendor environments)
- A hands-on, accountable leadership style
Desirable
- Experience in utilities or Critical National Infrastructure (CNI)
- Exposure to IT / OT convergence
- Experience working within SIAM or complex supplier ecosystems
- Prior interim leadership assignments
