Location: London (hybrid – 50% onsite)

Our high-profile Banking client is looking for an experienced Product Lead to take ownership of changes to their ISO 20022 messaging standard within a critical payments environment. This role will lead shaping and delivery across upcoming release cycles, working closely with internal product teams, external stakeholders, and delivery functions to drive evolution of their message set. You will operate at the intersection of product, business analysis, and payments expertise, with a strong focus on stakeholder engagement and prioritisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • 2026 Release Cycle (in-flight delivery)
    • Act as a business liaison, working across delivery teams to unblock issues and maintain momentum
    • Support issue triage and resolution, coordinating across stakeholders
    • Assist with certification queries, ensuring participant readiness is understood and addressed
  • 2027 Release Cycle (product leadership)
    • Lead engagement with stakeholders to gather and analyse change requirements
    • Shape future scope by translating feedback into clear product direction
    • Ensure all change requests are understood, sized, and prioritised
    • Perform schema-level impact analysis across ISO 20022 message sets
    • Support creation of industry-facing documentation, including change requests and scope decisions

Skills & Experience

  • Strong background in product delivery or a related field
  • Knowledge of the ISO 20022 message set
  • Experience turning stakeholder feedback into business designs and requirements
  • Ability to seek and analyse stakeholder feedback to inform prioritisation
  • Strong ability to produce external documentation on technical topics in an understandable format
