We're looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer to support and enhance a core cloud platform within a fast-paced, enterprise IT environment. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to infrastructure projects across multiple cloud services while playing a key part in a wider transformation programme, including changes to IT operations and service delivery practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to continuous improvement across platform, delivery, and operational practices.
- Help reduce operational risk across the core cloud platform.
- Support demand planning and delivery by working closely with product owners and stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and best practice to application teams adopting cloud platforms.
- Assist in maintaining operational commitments, including managing support tickets and resolving issues.
Skills & Experience
- Experience with AWS or Azure and cloud-native architectures.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC); Terraform experience is beneficial.
- Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with understanding of operational support processes.
- Scripting or automation experience (e.g. Python, PowerShell, Bash, or tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical teams.
