Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We have exciting plans, and we want you to be a part of them! With your pensions experience, you will support senior management and directly lead Pensions Team Managers to deliver in line with the business strategy and business plan. You will be responsible for operational performance, process improvement, and enhancements, playing a key role in leading and managing the delivery of pensions administration services to meet — and where possible exceed — contractual requirements.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead a team of Pensions Team Managers to deliver a first-class, high-quality service.
  • Empower and support your team to increase technical competency, improve efficiency, and achieve agreed quality outcomes, while meeting individual, team, and departmental objectives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders and/or clients.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of client requirements, including contractual expectations.
  • Ensure effective performance management processes are in place, including objectives, appraisals, staff development, training, and competency frameworks.
  • Regularly review systems and controls, suggesting improvements to enhance service delivery, streamline processes, and reduce risks and complaints.
  • Identify complaints early, address root causes, and implement effective corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Manage resources effectively, including analysing demand data and resource availability to meet operational and contractual targets.
  • Support the use of AI tools, technologies, and process improvements to enhance service delivery and member experience.

What we’re looking for:

  • Essential pensions experience, preferably within third-party administration operations.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Demonstrable operational management experience within an administration or back-office function across multiple teams and targets.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including report writing.
  • Ability to plan, prioritise, and manage conflicting deadlines.

What’s in it for you?

  • Remote working — work from wherever you’re happiest in the UK.
  • 23 days’ holiday, rising to 27 (pro rata) — plus the option to buy more after a qualifying period.
  • Paid volunteering day with a charity of your choice.
  • Generous family leave policies — including enhanced maternity, adoption, and shared parental leave.
  • A collaborative, inclusive culture focused on delivering great outcomes.
