This role is to work on a contract basis for a large Investment Bank working within their Structured Securities. This team works on high volumes of Securities Issuance Documentation for stocks and bonds.
Key Responsibilities:- Drafting securities issuance documentation cross asset classes
- Maintaining meticulous records and carefully following defined processes
- Learning structured securities product, applicable legal rules and processes with a view to expanding responsibilities over time
- Negotiating distribution agreements
- Procuring and analysing cross-border legal advice from external law firms in order to provide appropriate legal advice to business teams
- Working collaboratively with other team members to manage workload
- Completion of a law degree and/or an equivalent conversion course
- A desire to enter the legal profession, with an interest in financial markets
- An outgoing and robust personality who is capable of working both autonomously and collaboratively as part of a cross-disciplinary team/department
- Clear, concise and effective communicator (both written and oral)
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise work
- This role requires a high degree of organisation and planning skills together with numeracy, attention to detail, logical thinking and teamwork
