A leading Big Four professional services firm is hiring offensive security professionals in Bristol and the wider South West as its cyber team grows. If you are a penetration tester or red teamer who would like more variety, more client exposure and more room to progress, this could be the right next step.

The roles are part of a growing cyber defence team delivering penetration testing, security testing and technical assurance, with a good share of the work likely to be defence related. Depending on your experience, you could be delivering engagements within a team or leading them and mentoring colleagues, at Senior Consultant to Manager level, with some Assistant Manager opportunities too.

What you could be doing:

  • Delivering penetration tests and technical security assessments across networks, infrastructure and applications
  • Contributing to red team engagements, threat intelligence and security research where it fits
  • Working closely with clients and presenting findings clearly to technical and non-technical people
  • For more experienced people, leading engagements, building client relationships and supporting the growth of the team

What you will bring:

  • Hands-on experience in penetration testing, ethical hacking, red teaming or technical security assurance
  • Strong knowledge of networks, infrastructure and application security
  • Client-facing experience, or a clear readiness to take it on
  • A genuine hacker mindset and a love of working out how things can be broken
  • Certifications such as OSCP, CREST or CHECK are helpful but not essential
  • Current security clearance, or eligibility to obtain it, is particularly helpful as much of the work may be defence related

What to expect:

The working pattern is hybrid, generally two to three days a week in the Bristol office, with some defence work needing more time on site. We will talk through the specific role, team and timings with you on an initial call, so you know exactly what you are applying for.
