We are currently recruiting for a Network Segmentation Engineer with Illumio experience to join one of our Insurance clients on a 6-month contract. Inside IR35 Hybrid.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a hands‑on engineering resource with deep Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in Illumio, including proven experience designing and deploying solutions within Azure using cloud native constructs at enterprise scale.
  • Utilise the Illumio platform for application dependency mapping and traffic flow analysis to prepare and provision network segmentation policies to secure critical applications.
  • Proactively identify and resolve technical blockers, driving issues through to resolution with minimal escalation.
  • Work collaboratively as part of the internal Illumio deployment team, contributing to design decisions, implementation, and knowledge sharing.
  • Document and define operational processes, procedures, and workflows, ensuring repeatability and alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Act as Lead Engineer, providing technical direction, oversight, and guidance across the deployment lifecycle.
  • Maintain flexibility in working hours where required to support project milestones and global stakeholder engagement.

Experience

  • Hands‑on experience implementing the Illumio Segmentation platform within Azure using cloud native controls.
  • Strong cloud engineering and cloud networking foundation independent of Illumio, with ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex networking issues across Azure environments.
  • Experience working with native Azure networking constructs (e.g., VNets, NSGs, UDRs, Azure Firewall, Private Endpoints, Load Balancers) and integrating these effectively alongside Illumio.
  • Design and implement solutions leveraging cloud‑native controls and architectures (such as NSGs), ensuring tight integration with Azure networking and security capabilities.
  • Capable of extending beyond simple deployment of an Illumio VEN agent on IaaS.
  • Experience integrating automated application deployments with Illumio preferred.
