Qualifications:
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent vocational qualification in occupational health and safety.
- Membership of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) is ideal.
- Working towards Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner status with IOSH (CMIOSH or CertIOSH) is preferred.
- TechIOSH is not suitable as it indicates they do not have the diploma or equivalent level of qualification.
- Membership of IIRSM is acceptable if not a member of IOSH.
Experience in auditing/inspections, risk management, accident investigations or activities that demonstrate a detailed working knowledge of existing, new and emergent safety legislation, HSE Codes of Practice and Guidance is required. Previous roles in H&S consultant, H&S Advisor, H&S Manager, etc., are relevant.
H&S experience in a relevant industry/sector such as retail or FM would be beneficial but is not essential.
At interview, candidates will be assessed on their technical knowledge and application.
