Are you an experienced Manufacturing Manager with a passion for operational excellence, continuous improvement and people leadership? A leading organisation is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead a busy manufacturing operation, driving performance, quality, safety and team engagement. This is a high-impact leadership role where you'll be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the site, developing talented teams and delivering exceptional operational results.

About the Role

As Manufacturing Manager, you'll lead all aspects of site operations, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and efficiency. You'll work collaboratively with stakeholders across operations, commercial, supply chain, finance, facilities and people teams to support business objectives and deliver sustainable growth.

You'll be a visible and inspiring leader, creating a positive, inclusive culture where colleagues feel empowered to perform at their best while driving innovation and continuous improvement across the operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production, quality and inventory targets are consistently achieved.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans that support operational excellence and long-term business success.
  • Take ownership of site performance, including budget management, cost control and operational efficiency.
  • Drive a culture of engagement, accountability, inclusion and continuous improvement.
  • Coach, develop and inspire leadership teams to deliver outstanding results.
  • Build strong supplier and stakeholder relationships to ensure quality, reliability and value.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, new technologies and innovative production techniques.
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety, environmental, ethical and operational standards.
  • Maintain positive employee and union relationships, fostering collaboration and mutual respect.
  • Support commercial growth initiatives by identifying opportunities for new partnerships and business development.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a proven manufacturing or production leader who combines operational expertise with exceptional people leadership skills.

You’ll bring:

  • Significant experience leading manufacturing, production or operational teams.
  • A strong track record of delivering results against production, quality and financial targets.
  • Experience managing budgets and driving operational efficiencies.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching and team development capabilities.
  • A passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience working within unionised environments would be advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety and manufacturing best practice.
