Client is seeking a retail & Industrial Designer to join our dynamic team at the UK campus. In this role, you will focus on creating and enhancing our global retail environments, demo experiences, and brand engagements. Your innovative mindset and dedication to pushing the boundaries of design will be crucial as you help shape the way our products are experienced by customers globally. We’re looking for fresh design thinking, keen attention to detail, and an inherent curiosity to find new innovative ideas. We have thousands of retail positions globally, playing a critical role in bringing our products to life for new and existing customers. We work closely with many teams throughout the business, from early product creation through to in store execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and own the look and feel of retail environments, demo setups, and brand experience projects, ensuring they align with client's vision and brand standards.
  • Create user-centric and innovative design solutions throughout the development process, from initial concepts to final execution.
  • Collaborate closely with the Global Design and Product Experience team, working alongside CMF, Modelling, HMI, Connectivity, and Creative talents to deliver cohesive and impactful experiences.
  • Engage with Research Design & Development teams to innovate and execute world-class retail and brand experiences.
  • Participate in all stages of design, including concept generation, prototyping, and production.
  • Support reviews with senior stakeholders, presenting designs and gathering feedback.
  • Challenge assumptions and creatively solve problems to achieve ‘best-in-class’ design standards.
  • Focus on intricate design details while maintaining the overall design intent.
  • Use digital and physical tools (e.g., models, physical rigs, renderings, 2D prints) to validate and communicate design solutions.
  • Rapidly visualize multiple high-resolution design solutions.
  • Develop refined 3D surfaces for rendering, model building, and production.
  • Coordinate with our global network of designers and engineers to integrate diverse perspectives into the design process.
  • Lead prototyping efforts to accurately demonstrate and communicate design concepts.

About You:

  • Demonstrated expertise in visual evaluation and judgment of surface quality and appearance.
  • A degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing products, or retail & brand experience designs from concept to execution. Or equivalent experience in a similar field.
  • Experience in soft goods and/or fashion design is a plus.
  • Exceptional skills in sketching, form development, 3D surface quality, and 3D modelling.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD applications (e.g., 3DS Max, NX, Rhino, Alias, Solidworks).
  • Experience with rendering software (e.g., Vray, Keyshot, VRed).
  • Proficient in 2D design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Excellent verbal and visual communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly.
  • Assertive and diplomatic, with strong collaborative skills and receptiveness to constructive criticism.
