Job Title: Warehouse Operator (Smelting/Shift)

Salary: 21.55 per hour
About the role
Our client, a well-established specialist in precious metals and advanced materials, is looking for a Production Operator to join its manufacturing team. You'll help produce Platinum group metal (PGM) alloys, processing ingots into finished components for further processing or sale to customers.
Key responsibilities
Working safely and reporting any incidents promptly
Following operating procedures and recording process information accurately
Setting up and operating machinery to agreed standards
Using measuring equipment (including micrometers and tensile testing machines) and SPC charts to monitor product quality
Preparing quality samples and inspection documentation
Inspecting and packaging materials
About you
A willingness to follow safe systems of work
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures accurately
Good communication skills and a team-player attitude
Experience in a manufacturing environment, good manual dexterity and basic Word/Excel skills are desirable
Good to know
Factory-based role, with manual handling of items up to 20kg at times
Uniform and PPE required at all times
A restricted metals policy applies (limits on metal items such as jewellery, wallets and phones), and employees are searched when leaving the site
